2026 regional changes
The Valencian Community has cut several regional taxes in recent years, and some improvements come into force in 2026. If you own a company or are self-employed in Valencia, you should know them before buying property, planning an inheritance or making a gift to your children.
99% relief for close family
Since 2023, spouses, children and parents get a 99% relief on inheritances and gifts. From 1 June 2026, siblings, nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts also get a 25% relief, rising to 50% in June 2027.
ITP falls to 9%
From 1 June 2026, buying second-hand property is taxed at 9% (previously 10%) and Stamp Duty falls to 1.4%. There is also a 4% rate for rural land bought by professional farmers.
€1 million tax-free allowance
The Wealth Tax allowance has risen from €500,000 to €1,000,000, taking many business owners and families with medium-sized estates out of the tax.
99% reduction
Handing over a family business can benefit from a 99% reduction if the activity is maintained for five years. We help you meet the requirements with a family protocol.
